Elaine M. Klausmeier 1943-2011 Elaine M. Klausmeier, 68, Marthasville, passed away peacefully at her home Saturday, July 16, 2011. Mrs. Klausmeier was born March 27, 1943, in Marthasville, the daughter of Oliver Koch and wife Erna, nee Brewe. She lived in Marthasville her entire life and was baptized at St. Paul's United Church of Christ. Elaine spent 40 years as a nurse. She spent her life in the service of helping others at St. John's Mercy Hospital in Washington. She retired from St. John's Mercy Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents. Mrs. Klausmeier is survived by one daughter, Lana King and husband James, Marthasville; two grandsons, Thomas Whittaker, Washington, and Shawn Benson, Marthasville; two granddaughters, Karena Benson, Labadie, and Nicole King, Sullivan; one great-grandson, Ryder King; other relatives and many friends. Elaine was loved and respected by all. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 30, from 3-5 p.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with the Rev. George Dohm officiating. Burial will be private. Memorials to the family in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. Condolences may be sent to www.martinfuneral.net.
