Betty L. Hogue 1949-2012 Betty Lou Hogue, 62, Warrenton, passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at her home. Mrs. Hogue was born Feb. 23, 1949, the daughter of Ivan E. Queen and Alma J. Lewis. She was a security officer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan E. Queen and Alma J. Lewis. Mrs. Hogue is survived by her companion, James Dean, Warrenton; two brothers, Bill Queen and wife Jenny, Collinsville, Ill., and Mike Lewis and wife Jackie, Carathersville; three sisters, Iva Jean Johnson, Fredericktown, Mary Queen, Fenton, and Jackie Lewis, Union. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 14, at Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Burial was at Mount Vernon Cemetery. Memorials to the Down's Syndrome Foundation in care of Pitman Funeral Home, P.O. Box 126, Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Pitman Funeral Home, Warrenton. Arlene Devore 1951-2012 Arlene Devore, 60, Marthasville, passed away Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 after a brief illness, at St. John's Mercy Hospital, Washington. Mrs. Devore was born Oct. 24, 1951, in Washington, the daughter of Elmer Ridder and wife Lulu, nee Mittler. On June 16, 1973, she was united in marriage to Michael "Tim" Devore, in Marthasville. They celebrated 38 years of marriage. Mrs. Devore was a home manager at Emmaus Homes, in Marthasville. She was a member and longtime organist at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, in Marthasville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Ridder and wife Lulu, nee Mittler; and one brother-in-law, Kenneth Devore. She is survived by her husband, Tim Devore, Marthasville; one sister, Gail Morris and husband Lloyd, St. Clair; one sister-in-law, Robbin Devore, Marthasville; three brothers-in-law, Ronald Devore and Tom Devore and wife Darlene, all of Marthasville, and Donald Devore, St. Louis; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Monday, Feb. 13, at St. Pauls United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with burial following in the church cemetery. Memorials to the Emmaus Homes or St. Paul's United Church of Christ in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. Bockhorst, 78, nee Wegener, Warrenton, passed away Friday, Feb 10, 2012, at her home. She was born Mar. 28, 1933, near Bellflower, the daughter of Edward H. Wegener and wife Malinda W., nee Winter. After graduating from Bellflower High School in 1951, she moved to Warrenton. In 1953, she became the first female member of the Missouri Forestry Division’s fire fighters as a clerk dispatcher. On Aug. 6, 1955, she married Billy R. Bockhorst. In 1973, she returned to work for the Warren County Soil and Water Conservation District and served 10 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward H. Wegener and wife Malinda W., nee Winter; one son-in-law, Kenneth Johnson; one brother, Lavern Wegener and wife Arlene, Denver, Colo.; three brothers-in-law, Lloyd LeGrand Sr., Glenn Broadstone and Elmer Carroz; and niece, Debra Wegener. She is survived by her husband, Billy R. Bockhorst; two daughters, Peggy Gilloon and husband Jon, Arlington, Texas and Linda Johnson, Jefferson City; two sisters, Doris LeGrand, Warrenton and Wilma Broadstone, Oklahoma City, Okla.; one sister-in-law, Delores Carroz, Warrenton; three grandchildren, David Johnson and wife Amber, nee King, Kathryn Larsen, nee Gilloon and husband Keith and Ann Gilloon; one step-grandchild, Ellen Lewis, nee Gilloon and husband Mark; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends. Funeral services for Marilyn "Jeanie Smith" Geeraedts, 69, Warrenton, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, at Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Mrs. Geeraedts died Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital West, Lake Saint Louis. She is survived by three sons, Matt Smith and wife Vicki and Marc Smith, all of Warrenton, and Christopher Smith and wife Patrea Pine, Baylis, Ill.; two daughters, Kay Jennings and husband Randy, Pittsfield, Ill., and Kim Zeiss and husband Steve, Steelville; other relatives and friends. The family is being served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
