Here are the obituaries from the Sept. 17 edition of The Record: Randy R. Franklin -1949 - 2009- Randy Raymond Franklin, 60, Wright City, passed away Monday, Sept. 7, 2009, at his home. Mr. Franklin was born July 18, 1949, in Springfield, the son of Bob Franklin and Juanita Croslin Webb. Mr. Franklin grew up in Buffalo and Farmington, N.M. He was baptized in 1959 and confirmed in 1963 at Zion Lutheran Church in Farmington. In 1967, he graduated from Farmington High School and attended the University of New Mexico in Las Cruces for a short time before moving back to Buffalo. In 1969, Mr. Franklin entered the U.S. Army where he served in Vietnam. After serving his country he moved back to Buffalo. He was employed at Buffalo Sale Barn with his father and at the Springfield stockyards. In the early 1970s, he attended Aviation Mechanic School in Kansas City. While attending school, he met and later married Therese Ann Martin. In 1976 they moved to Nome, Alaska, where he worked for Munz Airlines for three years. In 1979, Mr. Franklin moved his family to the St. Louis area where he was employed by Ozark Airlines, TWA and American Airlines. After 25 years of faithful service, he retired in 2004. In 1994, he married Peggy Weiler. During his short five year retirement, Mr. Franklin enjoyed traveling and spending time with friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, his wife, Peggy, one brother, Mike Webb, and several aunts and uncles. Mr. Franklin is survived by one son, Randall Franklin and wife Jean, Broken Arrow, Okla.; two grandchildren, Robert and Ross Franklin; his parents Bob and Marcelene Franklin, Buffalo, and Juanita and Welzie Webb, Fort Worth, Texas; three sisters, Sandy Crawford and husband John, Buffalo, Dr. Tama Franklin and husband Mike Grose, Springfield, and Karen Haun and husband James, Fort Worth, Texas; his uncle, David Croslin; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 11, in Cantlon Otterness Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Long officiating with Kaylee Grose singing "Amazing Grace". Burial was in Memorial Gardens of Memory . Casketbearers were Bob Heimos, Mike Grose, John Crawford, James Haun, Devin Green, Bob Green and Aaron Grose. Memorials to Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home are preferred. The family was served by Cantlon Otterness Funeral Home, Buffalo. Manfred L. Naughton -1947 - 2009- Manfred Larry Naughton, 61, Jonesburg, passed away Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his home. Mr. Naughton was born Oct. 25, 1947, in New Florence, the son of Manford Naughton and wife Mary Alice, nee Nichelson. On Aug. 6, 1996, in Montgomery City, he was united in marriage to Pauline Butler Ferguson. They were married 13 years. Mr. Naughton was a laborer for Unique Clutch Factory in Jonesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents. Mr. Naughton is survived by his wife, Pauline Naughton, Jonesburg; one son, Samuel David Ferguson and wife Dorothy, Bigspring; one daughter, Christina Clardy, Montgomery City; two brothers, Bill Naughton and wife Millie, Washington, and Allan Naughton, Alabama state; one sister, Ann Brown and husband Allen, Georgia state; two grandchildren, Peyton and Trenton Clardy; other relatives and many friends. Cremation services were provided by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Memorials to the family in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. Meyer -1910 - 2009- Flora Regina Meyer, 99, Warren County, passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009, at The Homestead at Hickory View, Washington. Mrs. Meyer was born Feb. 4, 1910, in Warren County, the daughter of Martin Oberhellmann and wife Anna Emma, nee Schoppenhorst. On Feb. 26, 1942, in Warrenton, she was united in marriage to Frank C. Meyer. They were married 48 years. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Friedens United Church of Christ, the Dorcas Society and Ladies' Quilters group, Warrenton. Mrs. Meyer was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Frank, on Dec. 23, 1990, one brother, Clarence Oberhellmann, and one grandson, Alan Brandt. She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Brandt and husband Alvin, Warrenton, and Carolyn Meyer Pitts, Overland Park, Kan.; one sister-in-law, Frieda Walley, Tomah, Wis.; four grandchildren, Rick Brandt, Susan Steiner, Wendy Guss and Darin Pitts; four great-grandchildren, Madelyn, Anna and Leah Guss and Andrew Steiner; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services were held Monday, Sept. 14, at Martin Funeral Chapel, Warrenton. Burial was in Warrenton City Cemetery. Memorials to St. Johns Hospice or Friedens United Church of Christ in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main St., Warrenton, MO 63383 are preferred. The family was served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Bernice M. Eichmeyer -1929 - 2009- Bernice M. Eichmeyer, 80, Marthasville, passed away at New Haven Care Center Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009. Mrs. Eichmeyer was born May 11, 1929, in Washington, the daughter of Hugo Riske and wife Jeanette, nee Wegener. On June 4, 1950, in Washington, she was united in marriage to Earl Henry Eichmeyer. They were married 59 years. Mrs. Eichmeyer was a secretary at Buescher's Industry, Washington. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville. She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother-in-law, Leroy, and one sister-in-law, Viola Mann. Mrs. Eichmeyer is survived by her husband, Earl Eichmeyer, Marthasville; one son, Dale Eichmeyer and wife Kathy, Lebanon; one daughter, Donna Gerke and husband Mark, Pilot Grove; one sister, Jean Diener and husband Bill, St. Louis; five grandchildren, Christine Stevenson, Nicole Watring, Lauren Gerke, Stephanie and Greg Eichmeyer; two great-grandchildren, Maddie and Arleigh Watring; other relatives and many friends. Memorial services will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville, with the Rev. George Dohm and the Rev. Don Deeker officiating. A luncheon and gathering will follow the service in the fellowship hall. Burial will be private. Memorials to the church or Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital in care of Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Virginia Eichmeyer -1923 - 2009- Virginia Eichmeyer, 86, Marthasville, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2009, at New Haven Care Center. Miss Eichmeyer was born May 8, 1923, in Marthasville, the daughter of Hugo Eichmeyer and wife Molly, nee Schneider. She was the director of nursing at Emmaus Homes of Marthasville for 40 years. She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville. Miss Eichmeyer was active with and helped to start Belton Missions and the Tape Ministries. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Viola Mann, one brother, Leroy and one sister-in-law, Bernice Eichmeyer. Miss Eichmeyer is survived by two brothers, Earl Eichmeyer and Rueben Eichmeyer and wife Mabel, both of Marthasville; 12 nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; three great-great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, from 3-6 p.m. at Lichtenberg-Martin Funeral Home, Marthasville. Funeral services will be held Monday, Sept. 21, at St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Marthasville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A memorial gathering for Robert "Tiny" Wilson, 61, Danville, formerly of Warrenton, will be held Sunday, Sept. 20, from 2-4 p.m. at New Florence Community Center, New Florence. Mr. Wilson died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009. The family is being served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton. Graveside services for Ruth Christopherson, 96, Warrenton, will be held Friday, Sept. 18, at 4:30 p.m. at Phoenix Memorial Park, Phoenix, Ariz. Mrs. Christopherson died Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009, at Warrenton Manor, Wright City. She is survived by one sister, Emma Runge; other relatives and many friends. The family is being served by Martin Funeral Home, Warrenton.
