The Northeast Coalition for Roadway Safety will hold its quarterly meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Boonslick Regional Planning Commission, 111 Steinhegan in Warrenton.The meeting is co-hosted by the the Boonslick Regional Planning Commision and MO Rides and will begin at 10:30 a.m.“The coalition is a statewide effort to reduce fatalities and disabling injuries and involves more than a hundred organizations who coordinate and fund efforts to support this effort,” said Marisa Ellison, facilitator for the NE Coalition. “Our process for obtaining funds is simple, and they are available for organizations who can help us work toward zero road fatalities in Missouri.”Some organizations that have benefited from previous funding include local law enforcement, schools, hospitals, and health departments, among others.Following the meeting, lunch will be provided. The meeting and lunch will conclude around 12:30 p.m.“This is a good opportunity to network, as well as learn about how we can all work together to continue the trend of reducing deaths on our roads,” Ellison added.The coalition encourages everyone who receives this or organizations and businesses who are interested in learning more to attend.
