Shannon Newsham of Wright City has joined NECAC as a housing assistance counselor in Warren County.
Newsham is a 1995 graduate of Hazelwood Central High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Missouri-St. Louis. She has 20 years of nursing experience.
As a housing assistance counselor, Newsham will provide help to private landlords and guidance to tenants who are part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Section 8 Voucher Program, which provides partial rent assistance to qualifying applicants. NECAC administers the program in its 12 counties.
