Welcome to the latest chapter in the long history of the Warren County Record.While ownership of this 123-year-old newspaper changed in the past week, what hasn’t changed is our commitment to covering local news. That will remain and will continue to be what motivates us each week to publish the best weekly newspaper possible.While the newspaper industry has changed significantly over the years, community newspapers similar to The Record continue to have strong readership. We are the only place that reports on the happenings inside our city halls, our schools and on the athletic fields. We’re proud to reach over 3,000 homes each week!You may notice some changes moving forward. The amount of color pages we print will be fewer. We no longer will publish stories from The Associated Press along with syndicated columnists and cartoons that normally appeared on the editorial page. Again, our commitment is on local news, not on national news that can be found elsewhere.When I founded Westplex Media Group over a year ago, it was my goal to create a company that was more than a newspaper. Though the print product is still our primary focus, we will aim to grow our audience through innovative ways.Beyond our print pages, we can create a marketing package that puts your business in front of targeted customers on regional and national websites.If your business or organization has a need for creative services, we now offer logo design and more. We can also assist you on a printing project, whether it be a flyer, an envelope or a pull-up banner.Next year, video will be incorporated on a regular basis.Moving forward, we need your help.
