Warren County prosecutors have filed new charges against a man currently serving time for a 2018 child enticement conviction.
Dillon E. Horstdaniel, 28, of Wright City, was charged in December with five counts of possession of child pornography. The charges stem from a follow-up investigation after his initial arrest, according to a Wright City Police Department report.
Horstdaniel was arrested in May 2018 after exchanging sexually explicit messages with, and arranging to meet, a Wright City police officer posing online as a 13-year-old girl. Horstdaniel pleaded guilty to child enticement in October 2018 and was sentenced to seven years in prison.
According to the newly issued child pornography charges, police were able to access the contents of Horstdaniel’s phone with the help of a regional cyber crimes task force. The phone contained five videos of young girls engaging in sexual acts, police said.
The new charges against Horstdaniel are class B felonies, potentially punishable by five to 15 additional years in prison for each video found in his possession.
A hearing date has not yet been set for the charges.
