Four more people have been charged for a February burglary in Warrenton in which a victim was held at gunpoint, robbed and stabbed. The suspects are all charged with first-degree robbery, first-degree burglary and first-degree assault. They are Julia Meury, 19, Warrenton; Dakota W. Perine, 17, Wright City; Michael Wait, 21, Warrenton; and Dalton Rodeheaver, 18, Wright City.Meury, Perine and Rodeheaver are in custody at the Warren County Jail on $300,000, cash-only bonds.A fifth suspect, Juan C. Salazar, 21, Wright City, was taken into custody March 3 on the same charges. If convicted, the suspects could face lengthy prison sentences. The robbery occurred around 5 a.m. at a house on the 500 block of Oak Street in Warrenton, according to police. The victim was awoken by a group of people in ski masks, who tied the victim’s hands and feet with zip ties, police said. One of the assailants allegedly put a gun to the back of the victim’s head and forced the person to give up the combination to a safe in the residence, which contained $2,000 that was stolen. The suspects then stabbed the victim in the leg and left, authorities said.Warrenton Police Chief Larry Ellard said the attack was not random and the suspects involved do not represent a danger to the general public.A photo of Wait was not available at press time.
