The not-for-profit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) will host an Innovative Housing Conference for Warren County.The event is Thursday, Feb. 16, at 2 p.m. at the NECAC Warren County Service Center, 120 E. Main in Warrenton.Contractors, community stakeholders and government leaders are encouraged to attend. Those participating will learn more about programs such as Tiny Homes, the Healthy Homes Initiative, the Aspire Partnership Prison Homes Program and Weatherization.“We will have lots of information for those who are interested in adding new homes to our communities and improving the existing housing stock,” said NECAC Deputy Director for Housing Development Programs Carla Potts. “We encourage anyone interested in innovative, cutting-edge housing programs to join us.”The free session will last about two hours. The meeting is one in a series being held throughout NECAC’s 12-county service area.NECAC is a 12-county area social service, community health and public housing Community Action Agency that contracts with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate and administer programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population.The agency’s central administration offices are located in Bowling Green, with NECAC Service Centers operated in each county.More information on the Feb. 16 meeting is available by calling the NECAC Housing Development Department at 573-324-6622 or NECAC Warren County Service Coordinator Desiree Antoniou at 636-456-8191.NECAC
