The nonprofit North East Community Action Corporation (NECAC) continues to seek nominations for a board vacancy in Warren County.
Qualified residents are being invited to serve the remaining two years as a Low-Income Representative (LIR). The term will expire on Sept. 30, 2019.
Nomination forms are available at the NECAC Warren County Service Center, 120 Main St. in Warrenton.
Low-Income Representative candidates must be residents of Warren County and nominated by a low-income resident of the county or a service organization or group that serves the interest and needs of the low-income in the county. LIR candidates need not be a low-income person themselves.
The NECAC Board meets seven times a year at the agency’s headquarters in Bowling Green. A complimentary meal and travel reimbursement is provided.
NECAC has an annual budget of more than $28 million and administers more than 60 programs through contracts and grants with federal, state and local governments, private businesses and other not-for profit organizations to operate self-sufficiency service programs for the low-income, elderly, youth, disabled and disadvantaged population.
