Posted

NECAC and Ameren Missouri are hosting energy fairs Oct. 15 in Montgomery City and Oct. 22 in Troy.

The Montgomery City event is from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Reach Community Church, 100 Chamber Road. The Troy event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Lincoln County Health Department Community Room, 5 Health Department Drive.

There is no charge to attend. People will learn more about bill assistance, energy saving options and applying for utility assistance.

“We are very excited about the energy fairs and the opportunity to partner with AmerenMissouri,” said NECAC Deputy Director for Housing Development Programs Carla Potts.  “Please come and learn about resources available for utility assistance as well as weatherization and how to reduce energy loss.”

People who would like to apply for utility assistance should bring a copy of a recent home energy bill, copies of Social Security cards for everyone in the household and income documentation.
