Murrill was united in marriage to Beverly Kay Mades on February 6, 1965 at Immanuel United Church of Christ in Holstein, Mo. He volunteered for many years with the Marthasville Volunteer Fire Department where his services included roles as Treasurer, Engine Lieutenant and Assistant Fire Chief. After his retirement, you would most often find him piddling in his shop - which he referred to as his "Happy Place" where he would have country, bluegrass or gospel music playing through the speakers, and his sidekick Boots the cat by his side; however nearly every morning and afternoon you would find him at the coffee shop with his buddies. Murrill and his wife were longtime members of St. Paul's UCC in Marthasville. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Murrill was a loving, caring and devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend to many and will be missed by all.
