Newly released criminal warrants name four people allegedly involved in an attack on Airk M. Rader, 21, which happened the month before Rader was shot and killed at his home in Warren County.Rader was killed Sept. 27, 2017. Warren County Sheriff’s Department officials said the homicide investigation is ongoing. Information revealed during the investigation uncovered a separate attack against Rader that occurred weeks before the murder, authorities said.Four suspects are charged with first-degree assault, armed criminal action, first-degree attempted robbery and first-degree burglary. The suspects are Jack T. Huck, Dakota W. McCain, Seth D. Ault, and Ashton N. Roach. The men are all from southern Missouri, and are between the ages of 19 and 22.The sheriff’s department declined to comment on whether or not any of the assault suspects are also suspected in the killing. No charges have been filed in Radar’s death.Authorities said the homicide investigation revealed that Rader had been in debt to a marijuana distribution network allegedly led by Huck, 22, of Ste. Genevieve. The group planned to assault and rob Rader at his home on Township Line Road Aug. 8, 2017, in order to recover the drug debt, according to a sheriff’s department report.Huck first recruited McCain, 20, of Marquand, to plan the robbery, the report states. They allegedly discussed kidnapping and assaulting Rader, with McCain reportedly agreeing to bring a bat and a knife and break Rader’s knees.Authorities said McCain later recruited 19-year-olds Ault, of Silva, and Roach, of Fredericktown, to help carry out the plan.On Aug. 8, 2017, McCain, Roach and Ault allegedly came into Rader’s residence armed with a pipe and tire iron. Authorities said the group demanded money from Rader, but were chased from the residence by a roommate who was armed with a handgun.Sheriff Kevin Harrison said after the assault and before the homicide, deputies had received statements about the break-in. However, the sheriff said information provided was not accurate because the people involved did not want to disclose drug-related activities. All four suspects named in the assault have prior misdemeanor or felony drug-related charges, according to online court records.

Airk Rader, 21, was shot to death at his home on Township Line Road in Warren County in September 2017. Authorities have uncovered new information about an assault that targeted him the month prior.
