The MU Extension in Warren County is hosting a community food drive through Dec. 1 to support local food banks. Community members are encouraged to donate non-perishable, shelf-stable items to help meet the needs of families in the area.
Donations can be dropped off at the Warren County Extension Office, 107 Walton, Warrenton. Suggested items include canned proteins such as tuna, chicken, beans, and chili; whole grains like dry rice or pasta; and canned fruits and vegetables.
All contributions will benefit local food pantries in need. The MU Extension Council, faculty, and staff thank the community for their generosity and remind donors to check best-by dates before giving.
