Moser’s Foods is under new ownership, the company announced Nov. 28.
Show Me Oil, which owns the eight Moser’s locations, including the store in Warrenton, was acquired by PFSbrands based in Holts Summit.
The deal is expected to close in March 2025.
“I am pleased to be selling our business to a local company that will allow our Moser’s legacy to continue,” Roger Moser said in a news release. I’ve been doing business with PFSbrands for over 25 years so I am confident that their leadership team will continue to operate the stores with the same high standards of excellence, commitment to quality and a commitment to the communities we serve.”
PFSbrands operates Champs Chicken, bluTaco, Hangar 54 Pizza, Cooper’s Express and Wingman Pizza.
“PFSbrands currently operates heavily inside grocery stores and convenience stores across 39 states,” spokeswoman Claudia Luetkemeyer said in an emailed statement to The Record. “We do not currently operate other grocery store locations; Moser’s will be our first avenue into this market. This acquisition will benefit Moser’s employees and its customers/communities. Customers can expect to see the same friendly faces they have had for years, with new and exciting innovations to help bring the best products and services.”
Moser’s was founded in 1982 when Moser purchased an existing store in Fulton. It has since grown into eight locations across mid-Missouri.
