A Warrenton man accused of kidnapping and burglary has had two more charges filed against him at the Warren County Circuit Court.Demetry A. Wheeler, 23, was charged with first-degree burglary and second-degree domestic assault last week, adding to previous charges for kidnapping, two burglaries and domestic assault.Wheeler has been held at the Warren County Jail since June 2017. He was arrested after allegedly entering a woman’s home several times without permission, accessing her communication devices and kidnapping her.The events leading to the newest charges reportedly happened several days prior to the actions for which he was previously charged.On May 27, Wheeler allegedly entered the residence of a woman on Morgan Trail Court in Warrenton and assaulted her, according to Warrenton police. After being told to leave numerous times, Wheeler reportedly took the woman’s cellphone to prevent her from calling police.According to police, Wheeler admitted to choking and striking the woman in the head.A little over a week later, Wheeler was arrested after abducting the same victim from her home and attempted to carry her away while fleeing from police.The most recent charges filed against Wheeler have the potential to land him with five to 15 years in prison for the burglary and up to seven years for the assault, if he is convicted. The previous charges against him also carry the threat of decade-long prison sentences.Demetry Wheeler
