Record Managing EditorWith the filing deadline closing in, the race for the Warren County R-III School Board has grown.Also, candidates have surfaced for aldermen seats in Warrenton and Truesdale.Brian Meine is the most recent candidate to file for two openings on the R-III school board. He joins a crowded field with incumbent Jan Sutherland, Ginger Schenck, Allan Dreyer and Danny Roach.Other filings in the past week have been Dan Durbin for Warrenton Ward 2 alderman and Truesdale Alderman Shalene Blackwood.The deadline for new candidates to file is Tuesday, Jan. 19. The election will be held April 5.Here is the list of candidates who have filed so far:Warrenton (three, two-year terms) — Ward 1, none; Ward 2, Dan Durbin; and Ward 3, John Miller and Jim Dreyer.Wright City (three, two-year terms) — Mayor, David Heiliger; Ward 1, Jim Schuchmann; and Ward 3, Forrest Bruce and Tom Dixon.Truesdale (two, two-year terms) — Shalene Blackwood.Marthasville (two, two-year terms) — West Ward, Pam Jensen; and East Ward, none.Innsbrook (two, two-year terms) — Tom Stevener, Cynthia Bowers and Theodore R.
