Filing is still open for the next municipal election.Candidates have until 5 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, to file for city, school and other board positions that will be on the April 4 election ballots.Several incumbents have filed their candidacy for re-election. Several more individuals are entering the race to challenge them or run unopposed.Here is how the races are shaping up so far:In Marthasville, two incumbents — Mayor David Lange and East Ward Alderman Dan Grafrath — filed for re-election. Leo Meyer filed for West Ward alderman.In Warrenton, the offices of mayor and one alderman in each ward are on the April ballot. Incumbent Mayor Eric Schleuter filed for re-election. Alderman Mike Shilharvey, Ward 1, also has filed for mayor.Ward 1 Alderman Karen Casserly, Ward 2 Alderman Gary Auch and Ward 3 Alderman Bob Delaloye are all seeking re-election.Kenneth Jaseckas and Wayne Smith will challenge each other and Casserly for the Ward 1 spot. Gary Miller will challenge Delaloye for the Ward 3 seat.All the seats up for election in Warrenton are two-year terms.Incumbent Wright City Aldermen Dan Rowden, Ward 1, and Jim Toothman, Ward 2, filed for re-election. Toothman will face a challenge from Nathan Essary, Nathan Rohr and Amanda Werremeyer for the Ward 2 board seat.Three incumbents — Jeff Thomsen, Jerry Rust and Trish Dunn — filed for re-election to the Innsbrook board.Incumbent Truesdale Mayor Murray A. Bruer filed to seek another two-year term. The Truesdale ballot also has two at-large board of aldermen seats.Alderman Stanley D. Brookshier is running for re-election.There are three open seats for the Warren County R-III School Board. Five people filed: incumbent Laurie Wenzel and newcomers John Cornell, Franci Schwartz, Rodger Tucker Jr. and Duane Swacker.The Wright City R-II School Board has three seats up for election. All are three-year terms. Alice Jensen, an incumbent, filed for re-election.Warren County Ambulance District has two seats up for election, one in Subdistrict 1 and one in Subdistrict 4. Incumbent Phil Tallo, District 1, has filed for re-election and incumbent Jonathan Laubert, District 4, also filed for re-election.The Marthasville Community Ambulance District has two seats up for election, one in District 1 and one in District 4. Incumbent Alice Kluesner filed for District 4.Warrenton Fire Protection District has one seat up for election with a six-year term. Newcomers Nicole Priest and Aaron Sutton both filed for that seat.The Marthasville Volunteer Fire Protection District has no seats up for election.Wright City Fire Protection District also has no seats up for election.Candidate filings
