The Missouri Department of Transportation will close Route Z under Interstate 70 in Wentzville as part of the Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project overnight starting Mon., Jan. 5, through Fri., Jan. 9. All work is weather permitting.
Route Z will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. for drainage work on Route Z underneath I-70. All entrance and exit ramps at Route Z will remain open.
This work is part of the reconstruction of Interstate 70 with adding a third lane in each direction and the realignment of I-70 between Wentzville Parkway and Route Z.
The Improve I-70 Warrenton to Wentzville Project covering the eastern portion of I-70 was awarded in November 2024. Construction is tentatively set to take place 2025-2028.
