Contractor crews are resuming work on the sidewalk improvement project on Missouri Route 47 in Warrenton from Veterans Memorial Parkway to East Walton Street. Work began last fall then suspended due to winter conditions.
Motorists can expect 24-hour minor traffic impacts including a lane closure for one night only during the final stages of the project including signal work, clean-up and seeding. Flaggers will be utilized to direct motorists through the work zone. All work is expected to be completed by late March.
This work is being completed as part of MoDOT’s initiative for compliance with the current standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act .
This contract also includes sidewalk improvement projects in Warren County located on Route J in Wright City and Interstate 70 North Outer Road in Wright City as well as Montgomery County, located on Missouri Route 19 and Missouri Route 161 in Montgomery City, Missouri Route 161 in Middletown and Route CC and Route ZZ in Wellsville.
The contract for these projects was awarded last year to S&A Equipment & Builders, LLC of Fulton, Missouri in the amount of $1,263,114.90.
