The Warren County Historical Society is hosting a program titled “Showing a Missouri You May Not Know.”The program will be Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7 p.m. at the Warren County History Museum, 102 W. Walton in Warrenton.It will be led by “Myths and Mysteries of Missouri” author Josh Young of Blue Eye, Mo. Using accounts from his book, he will lead the audience on a journey around the state, sharing stories Missourians many not know.Young’s explorations include the stories about Tom Bass, a former slave who became a renowned horseman; Ella Ewing, one of the tallest women to have ever lived; and Jesse James, a Civil War confederate turned infamous outlaw.The presentation will expand people’s knowledge of Missouri’s rich history.The program is free and open to the public.
