The Missouri Department of Transportation has scheduled an informational meeting on the replacement of Lake Creek bridge at Dutzow. The public meeting is scheduled for Monday, Nov. 18, from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Vincent’s Church at Dutzow, according to Eric Erik Maninga, MoDOT area engineer for Warren County. The Lake Creek bridge, located at the juncture of Highways 47 and 94, will be rebuilt in phases, one side at a time, with traffic signals to direct traffic, Maninga explained Wednesday. The work is scheduled to begin sometime in the summer of 2014.“The plan is to leave one lane of traffic open and build the bridge in two phases,” Maninga told The Record. “Unfortunately, there is no good detour route.”Maninga said the purpose of the meeting is to inform citizens of what they can expect during the construction project and how long it will take. He explained it could take 30 to 35 days for each phase of the project but more details on the project will be available at the Nov. 18 meeting. When finished the bridge will have 8-foot-wide shoulders for walkers and bikers to access the Katy Trail.Another Highway 47 corridor improvement in Warren County scheduled to be done next year is realignment of Highway 47 in the Hopewell Hill area, That project also will include 4-foot-wide shoulders.Meeting Set for Lake Creek Replacement Bridge
