Why are you running and why should people vote for you?
I'm a 12-year Village resident residing outside of the IBK planned residential community and lend a perspective and voice to considerations of growth and community to benefit the entire area. I'm a proponent of the Village of Innsbrook mission of "Harmony with Nature". My experience as a Trustee of the Village for 6 years allows understanding of the legal requirements and decisions needed for the health, safety, growth and business of small community government. I have business knowledge as a past business owner and as an administrator for businesses in the areas of sales tax, licenses, federal excise tax, human resource, payroll, benefits, accounts receivables and accounts payables. I will maintain engagement with local planning, road and emergency groups.
What are your goals if elected?
Ensure communication and transparency, identify where it is deficient, make corrections and find solutions for resolution. Implement and discuss ideas for the engagement of constituents in P&Z and Board meetings. Finalize the Board of Adjustment members. Monitor reporting of the sales tax revenue and compliance. Keep fiscal responsibility in the forefront and monitor expenses to maintain the Village Hall facility and proper staff including individuals and contractors required to serve the community as a whole. Work with Planning and Zoning for the health and safety of the Village along with finalization of the ordinance codification. Continue to review health and safety of the community with considerations of growth, fire, emergency response/warning, roads and sanitation. Continued correspondence and attendance of meetings with Boonslick Regional Planning, Northeast MoDOT and Warren County Emergency Management.
What issues are most pressing for your constituency?
Communication, transparency and safety. Future community growth aligning from indicators of the Village of Innsbrook survey taken during the update of the recent Comprehensive Plan. Sustained property values. Fiscal responsibility.
