Previous political experience: Incumbent, Warrenton Ward 3 alderman

Why are you running and why should people vote for you?

As your current Alderman, I am proud of the work I have accomplished and I’m not done yet. Over the past term, I have focused on being present, accessible, and willing to take on tough conversations for the good of Warrenton. I believe leadership means showing up, listening to people, supporting local businesses, and making decisions that balance growth while preserving the character of our community. I want to continue serving because I care deeply about this city and the people who call it home. I believe in strong solutions, responsible budgeting, and steady progress. I believe in facing challenges head on instead of ignoring them. Most importantly, I believe in putting people first and making decisions that reflect the values and long-term interests of our community. I respectfully ask for your vote so I can continue serving you and working to build a stronger, safer, and more vibrant Warrenton for everyone.

What are your goals if elected?

As Alderman, my priority is bringing transparency and accountability to our city government. That means ensuring meetings are scheduled at appropriate times, agendas are shared in advance, minutes are posted promptly, and decisions are not made at the bare minimum standard. Our residents deserve open communication, responsible leadership, and processes they can trust. Economic development is another major focus.I want to establish a Commercial Economic Development Board dedicated to recruiting and retaining businesses that strengthen our community. Over the years, we’ve lost amenities like a movie theater and restaurants places where families and friends gather. We should be actively working to bring back businesses that provide entertainment, recreation, and community value while diversifying our commercial base. Our parks deserve attention and investment. I want to bring an ADA-accessible playground and splash pad to our parks so every child, regardless of ability, has a place to play. I also want to continue my efforts to add activities and equipment to our parks. restoring the parks that are falling behind is a must. I will continue our established efforts with Tree City USA and Project Reforest. Public safety remain a priority. I want to apply for cost share with modot to build a sidewalk along North Service Road to provide a safe walking space for people who currently walk in traffic. I also want to add lighting along the Highway 47 sidewalk north of town to improve visibility and safety. Additionally, I want to ensure our police department is equipped with the newest equipment and training that reflects modern policing standards, protecting both residents and officers. Infrastructure and fiscal responsibility go hand in hand. We must properly maintain and treat our roads to extend their lifespan and prevent costly repairs. I will advocate for thoughtful budgeting that prioritizes essential services and long-term planning over short-term convenience.

What issues are most pressing for your constituency?

Right now, the most pressing issues for the people of Warrenton are affordability, infrastructure, public safety, and responsible growth. Families are feeling the strain of rising costs and very few options in housing. Its getting harder to people to afford rent or buying a house. We need to work on our residential zoning to ensure more affordable housing. Infrastructure is another major concern. Roads, sidewalks, lighting, and parks directly impact people everyday. Warrenton deserve well-maintained streets, safe walking paths, and parks that are clean, updated, and accessible to every child, including those with disabilities. Public safety is a main topic I want to address. This includes ensuring our police department has the proper training and equipment. This improves public safety and trust. We must make thoughtful investments that protect both residents and first responders. Finally, people deserve transparency and accountability. We need to build trust that decisions are made openly, meetings are properly communicated, and long-term planning is prioritized over short-term convenience. The people of Warrenton want a city that is safe, well-maintained, affordable, and moving forward with a clear vision. That is where our focus must remain
