MB Motorsports will return to its home track this weekend following a strong run at Texas Motor Speedway.Tyler Tanner led five laps and finished 17th out of 30 trucks during Friday night’s NASCAR Truck Series race on the 1.5-mile track.This was the first time Tanner has led any laps during his NASCAR career. He grabbed the lead on lap 75 during a series of pit stops and relinquished it when he stopped to receive fuel and tires. In four races this year, Tanner has finished twice in the top 20. His best finish was 15th at Kansas on May 8.Justin Jennings drove the No. 36 truck for Foristell-based MB Motorsports. He finished 26th after completing 12 laps. He qualified 23rd. Jennings ended the race with electrical problems.Series points leader Matt Crafton led a race-high 77 laps to capture his eighth career victory. Rounding out the top five were Daniel Suarez, John Wes Townley, Johnny Sauter and Austin Theriault.Both Tanner and Jennings are listed on the entry list for Saturday night’s race at Gateway Motorsports Park in Madison, Ill. The 1.25-mile track is considered MB Motorsports’ home track due to its close proximity.Qualifying will start at 4:45 p.m. Saturday, with the 160-lap race scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m.Tyler Tanner
