MB Motorsports, Jennings finish 19th at Chicago

MB Motorsports driver Justin Jennings faced a not-so-pleasant trifecta during Saturday’s NASCAR Truck Series race at Chicagoland Speedway.The driver of the No. 63 truck encountered a blown right front tire, a pit road penalty and a terrible vibration, but managed to salvage a 19th-place finish.Jennings completed 144 of the 150-lap race on the 1.5-mile track. He qualified 22nd. The race was held on Saturday morning, after rain postponed the event Friday evening.Foristell-based MB Motorsports also entered a second truck, with Tyler Tanner in the No. 36. He had engine troubles and completed only five laps to finish 32nd. He qualified 24th.John Hunter Nemechek led the final two laps to win his first Truck Series race. Rounding out the top five were Tyler Reddick, Timothy Peters, Daniel Suarez and Johnny Sauter.The Truck Series is back in action Saturday afternoon at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. MB Motorsports has a new driver as Akinori Ogata, of Japan, will be in the No. 63 truck. He has experience driving late model stock cars in the NASCAR’s K&N Pro Series East. This will be his first start for the team and second career start in the Truck Series.He is also scheduled to drive for MB Motorsports on Oct. 3 at Las Vegas and Oct. 24 at Talledega.
