MB Motorsports finishes 18th with new driver behind wheel

Garrett Smithley made a strong impression in his NASCAR Truck Series debut Saturday.The Peachtree City, Ga., native wheeled the No. 63 Herobox.org/SegPay Chevrolet to an 18th-place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway.This was the first race of the season for Foristell-based MB Motorsports, which failed to qualify for last week’s season opener at Daytona.Smithley completed 126 laps in the 130-lap race on the 1.5-mile track. Garrett Smithley finished 16th in the Pocono Mountains 150 at Pocono Raceway. MB Motorsports will return to action on Aug. 15 at Michigan International Speedway.
