A Marthasville woman received a suspended jail sentence and was ordered to serve two years’ probation in an incident where she shot a gun during a fight with her boyfriend.Dawn Michelle Brautigam, 30, of the 16000 block of South Lakeview, pleaded guilty May 5 and was sentenced as part of a plea deal. She was convicted of felony unlawful use of a weapon while intoxicated. Brautigam was initially charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action stemming from the Dec. 6 incident, but the charge was amended once more information was received, Prosecutor Kelly King said.Police said Brautigam’s boyfriend had called his father to pick him up following an argument between the couple at their home. When the boyfriend attempted to leave, Brautigam retrieved a rifle and shot a round through the front door of a garage in the direction of a vehicle her boyfriend was sitting in, police reported.Marthasville woman who shot gun in fight receives probation
