He was appointed to fill an unexpired term after Dale Verges resigned and was elected to his first two-year term in April 2013.So far Schantz is running unopposed.In Warrenton, a race has emerged for the Ward 1 alderman seat. Incumbent Karen Casserly filed on Monday. She will be opposed by Kyle Bradbury.The deadline for the candidate filing period is Jan. 20.
