A 28-year-old Marthasville man was killed in a vehicle crash in St. Charles County on Saturday.
Michael G. Bira was pronounced dead at the scene at 7:14 p.m. Sept. 9 by the St. Charles County Ambulance District, according to the accident report filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
According to the report, Bira was traveling west in his 2002 Ford F 250 pickup truck on Highway N west of Meadow Woods Lane when his vehicle ran off the right side of the roadway. The report indicates that Bira overcorrected, returned the roadway, but ran off the left side of the road and overturned.
He was not wearing his safety device, according to the report.
His body was taken to the St. Louis County medical examiner's office by Lonning Mortuary. The truck was totaled and towed to Crash City.
