A 33-year-old Marthasville man has been arrested in the sexual assault of a 4-year-old girl in Hawk Point.The St. Louis-Post Dispatch reports the suspect was arrested Monday and faces a charge of statutory sodomy. The man was identified as John William Edwards, of the 400 block of West South Street, according to online court records.According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department, the incident happened at a Hawk Point home that the suspect was visiting. The department said an investigation of the incident was opened Saturday, but did not say when the alleged incident happened.The suspect’s bail has been set at $50,000.John William Edwards
