Marthasville man accused of attacking woman

A Marthasville man is charged with felony domestic assault after an alleged attack that sent a woman to the hospital. She was later released.A Warren County Sheriff’s Department arrest report states Robert Booher, 54, was taken into custody Saturday, March 2. Booher is charged with second-degree domestic assault, a class D felony.A deputy first met with the assault victim at Mercy Hospital in Washington Saturday morning. The woman reported that Booher had assaulted her at her home on Norcoa Drive in Marthasville sometime between 4:19 and 5:27 a.m., according to the arrest report.The victim alleged that Booher charged at her and knocked her down, causing her head to strike the ground, then began punching her in the face. The woman told deputies she got up and tried to get away, but alleged that Booher charged at her again.The woman said she was knocked to the ground a second time, this time on her face. Deputies said Booher choked the woman while she tried to defend herself.Booher was taken into custody less than an hour after a deputy spoke with the female victim, according to the arrest report. He was released from jail on a $10,000 surety bond. Booher had an arraignment scheduled for March 6 in Warren County Circuit Court.
