The Marthasville Community Ambulance District is seeking a new chief operations officer for the district as their previous leader left to take a position with Warren County.
District Board Chairman Larry Brewe said the previous COO Shelly Alcorn left to take a position with the county and now the district is seeking her replacement.
Brewe said the district is looking for someone that is an experienced paramedic. He said that District Administrator Jim Sharp, former Warren County Emergency Management Agency Director, isn’t a paramedic and the district is seeking someone with a paramedic license to do their drug control and other related duties.
Brewe said the district has had some applicants through Indeed, but the applicants are from out of state and only one has any kind of medical experience.
Brewe said the district may have a local candidate that is interested in the position, but that the district is still accepting applications.
Brewe said he hoped to have the position filled within the next month.
Those interested in applying can go to the district’s Facebook page and reply to the post listing the job.
