Voters in southern Warren County will be asked this April to approve a 10-cent property tax increase for the Marthasville Community Ambulance District.The district’s current tax levy is $0.2962 per $100 of assessed valuation. A proposition brought by the district’s board of directors would increase that levy to a maximum of $0.3962 per $100 valuation.Taxes for residential property is assessed at 19 percent of actual appraised value, so for a $100,000 home, that would mean a tax increase of $19 per year.“It will be used to upgrade vehicles and equipment,” said Larry Brewe, chairman of the district’s board of directors.The ambulance district’s boundary includes most of Warren County south of Highway CC.Property tax
