A Warren County man is being charged for an incident last year in which he allegedly “drunk dialed” the 911 dispatch center four times within two hours.Richard D. Hutson Jr., 50, Wright City, was charged with misuse of emergency telephone service, a Class B misdemeanor.Authorities allege that between 10 p.m. and midnight Oct. 14, 2018, Hutson made repeated calls to 911 without an emergency. Dispatchers believed Hutson to be intoxicated, a charging document states.Wright City police said Hutson was calling to repeatedly request information that had already been given to him. Dispatchers reportedly advised him multiple times to use a non-emergency phone number to contact the office, and to stop dialing 911.When contacted by police about the repeated calls, Hutson allegedly admitted he “should not have done it,” police said.Court gavel
