Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Domestic Assault

A Warrenton man was sentenced last week to 12 years in prison in a 2012 domestic assault case.Michael Stacy McEachron, 35, was sentenced to serve the term in the Missouri Department of Corrections after pleading guilty Oct. 10 to a second-degree felony domestic assault charge, according to Prosecuting Attorney Michael Wright.The judge also sentenced McEachron to a concurrent one-year county jail term on a third-degree domestic assault charge.Those sentences will run consecutively with a one-year county jail term in an earlier domestic assault case, according to online court records.McEachron, who was sentenced as a prior and persistent offender, was ordered to complete a long-term alcohol and drug treatment program in prison.The defendant was given credit for time served while awaiting sentencing.
