A 45-year-old man has been sentenced to eight years in prison on multiple charges of incest.Ronald R. Rives was arrested in 2015 and prosecuted for four felony charges of incest. He pleaded guilty to those charges May 2, 2017, and was sentenced July 13, according to court records.Rives received a four-year sentence for each of the charges against him, but two of those sentences will be served concurrently to the others, according to the Warren County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Basically, Rives will serve his sentences two at a time, for a total of eight years.While investigating the case against Rives, authorities said they uncovered pornographic images of underage females on two digital flash drives that belonged to him. He was charged with felony possession of child pornography in March 2016, and that case is pending in Warren County Circuit Court.The incest case first began with a report to authorities in March 2015, when the female victim told her mother Rives had been having sex with her for the past two years.The alleged encounters began at a residence in Wentzville and continued after Rives moved to a residence in Warrenton in June 2013, police said.During the investigation, the victim reported to police Rives provided her emergency contraceptive pills on at least four occasions in the spring or summer of 2014.In a call between Rives and the female’s mother, he allegedly admitted to the sexual encounters and admitted to purchasing the pills, police said.Online court records identify Rives’ last address prior to his conviction as a home in Montgomery City.Ronald Rives
