Man pointed gun at woman, held her against will

A Warren County man allegedly threatened a woman with a gun and held her against her will during an incident early Thursday morning.The suspect, identified as 30-year-old Torrence Everett Breaux, was taken into custody the following day. He has been charged with two felony counts of felonious restraint and attempted escape and two misdemeanor counts of third-degree domestic assault and child endangerment. He is being held on a $20,000 cash-only bond.The female victim told authorities Breaux entered her residence around 12:30 a.m. March 3 and pointed a gun at her. He allegedly made her stay in the residence throughout the night and the following day and assaulted the woman by hitting her in the face. Two children in the home, ages 6 and 8, said Breaux possessed a gun and pointed it at one of them, according to the probable cause statement.When interviewed by a detective March 4, Breaux allegedly said that the pair had been in an argument because he wanted to know  who the unknown male she was visiting with.
