By Tim SchmidtRecord Managing EditorA 45-year-old Warren County man was found guilty last week of having sex with two teenage girls in 2012.A jury deliberated for around two hours before delivering its verdict Tuesday, Sept. 29, at the conclusion of the two-day trial held in Warren County Circuit Court. Charles W. Porter was convicted on two felony counts of second-degree statutory rape and one felony count of statutory sodomy. He has been incarcerated in the Warren County Jail since being taken into custody in April 2012.The jury recommended Porter serve seven years in prison on both of the rape charges and two years on the sodomy charge. He is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Wes Dalton on Nov. 3.The female victims were 15 and 16 years old at the time of the sexual contact; they are now 20 and 19. Both testified during the trial.“I am pleased with the outcome,” Prosecuting Attorney Kelly King said. “I commend the victims. It took a lot of courage for both of them to testify.”Warren County deputies said when the older victim was 16 she met Porter outside her residence on the morning of April 20, 2012, and had sex with him in his truck. A phone call between the girl and Porter was recorded later that day and Porter allegedly spoke of having sex with both girls.The girl told deputies she was injured while having sex and that she left blood on Porter’s truck seat. She was later taken to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital and the physician there reported finding an injury to her genitals, according to the probable cause statement.During an interview with deputies, the then-15-year-old victim said she had attended a party at Porter’s home sometime between March 23 and April 9 and that she had sex with him. She said alcohol was provided at the party.Three days after deputies began their investigation, they executed a search warrant at Porter’s property and found that the inside of his vehicle had been recently cleaned, but a blood stain was found under the cloth of the front seat, police said. A broken bottle of alcohol also was found in Porter’s backyard, deputies reported, in the area where a third underage person had reported it to be.Charles Porter
