Authorities have charged a man with stalking after he allegedly threatened a woman in Wright City in June, making nearly 30 phone calls to her in one day.Daniel R. Dudding, 40, Troy, was charged in Warren County Associate Circuit Court with first-degree stalking, a Class E felony.The victim told police she had ended a romantic relationship with Dudding a year prior. On June 29, Dudding allegedly called her on her work phone and asked about her current boyfriend. She ended the call, and he immediately called back.According to Wright City police, Dudding threatened the victim, saying, “If you don’t think something bad is about to happen, I suggest you prepare.”The victim also told police Dudding had called around 28 times the day before.The victim has an active protection order against Dudding, according to police.Crime
