A Ballwin man was charged with delivery of 35 grams or less of marijuana or synthetic cannabinoid to a person less than 17 years of age and two years younger for an incident that occurred Oct. 26, 2024.
According to a probable cause affidavit submitted by the Warrenton Police Department, on Oct. 28, 2024 officers made contact with a witness who told officers a 14-year-old was able to purchase THC from Puffer Smoke & Novelty located at 1339 Northeast Service Road in Warrenton on Oct. 26, 2024.
The witness provided a video of the 14-year-old exiting the store with a brown bag in hand then entering her vehicle. The minor can then be seen on the video removing a blue in color cube like object from the bag, according to the affidavit. The witness told officers the item was a THC vape cartridge, which contained 2,000 milligrams of THC.
Based upon the allegations a search warrant was obtained for the business, which was found to be operated by Fawad Rahimi, 37.
Officers obtained a DVR from the store, where video footage showed the minor purchasing the THC vape cartridge from Rahimi, according to affidavit.
The cartridge was sent to the Missouri State Patrol Crime Lab for analysis where it tested positive for THC.
A warrant was issued for Rahimi Friday with a $5,000 no-cash bond.
