Man charged with knife assault

Warren County authorities filed charges against a man they say slashed a female victim’s hand with a knife during an assault in January.Robin G. Beason, 34, Warrenton, is in custody for second-degree domestic assault, as well as several other unrelated criminal charges, according to online court records.Authorities allege Beason cut the victim with a knife he took from her possession while they were at the Reifsnider State Conservation Area on Jan. 24. A Warren County Sheriff’s Department report said the victim had a severe, 4-inch cut on her left hand that required stitches.The victim told a sheriff’s deputy that Beason also prevented her from leaving a vehicle they were in while driving around Warren County overnight. Beason allegedly threatened to harm the woman if she tried to leave.Beason is scheduled to be arraigned for the domestic assault charge Dec. 19 in Warren County Circuit Court.He is being held is at the Warren County Jail.In August, Associate Circuit Judge Richard Scheibe sentenced Beason to serve one year in jail after he pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor domestic assault alleged to have happened in October 2016.More recently, Beason had been charged with harassment for an incident that occurred Jan. 4. He pleaded guilty in September and was sentenced by Scheibe to six months in jail.Beason is also awaiting trial for another felony domestic assault charge related to a Jan. 8 incident, as well as a December 2017 felony drug possession charge out of Montgomery County.
