A Gerald, Mo. man was charged with driving while intoxicated causing serious physical injury for an incident that occurred Aug. 2, 2025.
According to a Missouri Highway Patrol probable cause statement, an officer investigated a single vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 47 near Bald Eagle Lane. The crash involved a 2020 Tesla Model 3 that traveled off the left side of the road and struck a driveway culvert. The driver was identified as Alexander Gaebe of Gerald. The passenger of the vehicle suffered serious injuries including broken ribs and broken vertebrae in his back. According to the statement, Gaebe’s blood alcohol concentration was .20.
A $15,000 bond was issued for Gaebe on May 26.
