Authorities have accused a local man of an attack at his residence early Sept. 13.
The incident on Navajo Trail in Warrenton has led to a second-degree domestic assault charge against 34-year-old Jonathan S. Collins.
Authorities received a call from the residence around 1:45 a.m., according to Warrenton police. The female victim reportedly stated that Collins choked and hit her, before a juvenile in the residence got into a physical confrontation with Collins, then Collins left the room. The woman said she barricaded the door and the juvenile called 911.
According to the report, Collins could be heard over the call saying “Are you kidding me, you called them?”
Law enforcement at the scene observed bruising on the victim’s arm and neck.
The charge against Collins is a Class D felony with a maximum prison sentence of seven years.
