Authorities allege that a Warren County man severely beat a woman and held her against her will last March at a home on Pendleton Lost Creek Road.Leandro Martinez Jr., 48, was charged last week by Warren County prosecutors with first-degree domestic assault and first-degree kidnapping.A Warren County sheriff’s deputy who located the victim of the assault March 20, 2018, described her as having “more bruising than undamaged skin across her entire body.” The woman told deputies she had been held against her will for two to three days at a home on the 25000 block of Pendleton Lost Creek Road, authorities said.A deputy was called to the area around 8:30 p.m. March 20 for a domestic assault, and found the victim walking up the road, according to the sheriff’s department. She had a cut on her forehead, with blood from the wound covering her face. She was taken to a hospital for treatment. The victim alleged that Martinez assaulted her after she called a friend to pick her up from the residence. Martinez allegedly dragged the woman by her hair around the outside of the house to a running vehicle and forced her into the driver seat, while he stood on the running board. In an attempt to get away, the woman said she put the vehicle in drive and began swerving with it, but crashed into a tree. She fled until she was found by law enforcement officers. The woman described being held against her will, with Martinez threatening to kill her, her family and friends if she tried to leave, authorities said. During the days she was at the home, the victim told deputies she was beaten with a leather belt and a steel knife, as well as being forcibly tattooed on her arm.The sheriff’s department said the woman received five stitches on her forehead, as well as antibiotics and other treatment at the hospital for potential broken bones and internal bleeding.Crime
