One suspect has been charged in connection with an October break-in and armed robbery in Warrenton.
A warrant was issued Nov. 15 for the arrest of Brian M. Bove, 31, of St. Louis. He is accused of first-degree burglary and first-degree robbery, charges that could lead to 10 years or more in prison.
On Oct. 22, Warrenton police officers were called to the 700 block of East Booneslick Road for a burglary that occurred sometime before noon, according to a police report. Officers arrived to find ambulance staff treating a man with cuts on his head and arm.
The victim told police two people came into his residence and held him at gunpoint while demanding money. The victim attempted to run to another room, but was thrown into a wall, police said. He eventually was able to shelter in a bedroom.
Police said the suspects stole a checkbook and various other items from the residence. The victim reportedly identified Bove as the person who threatened him with a gun.
Bove allegedly also admitted to committing the robbery while being recorded, according to police.
Authorities have not disclosed information about the second suspect involved in the robbery.
