Authorities say a person arrested in late December is a suspect in a burglary and theft near Wright City in July 2017.Justin Vines, 27, Columbia, was taken into custody Dec. 26 on charges of second-degree burglary and stealing property worth $750 or more.The day of the burglary, a witness reported seeing two white males use a knife to pry open a door at the residence and carry a television from the house, according to Wright City police. The witness provided a description of the vehicle the men were driving.The television taken from the house was valued at $800.The owner of the home told police he had received a phone call around the time of the burglary asking if he was at work and when he would be home. Police searched the phone number from the call on Facebook, which returned Vines’ Facebook profile.When shown Vines’ photo, the homeowner told police he had met Vines once before, and the witness identified Vines as one of the people seen at the home.According to law enforcement, Vines owns a vehicle that matches the description of the one seen at the burglary.Vines has posted a $10,000 surety bond. He had an arraignment scheduled for Jan. 10 at the Warren County Circuit Court.Arrest
