Man charged in Marthasville home break-in

Warren County authorities have arrested a man they say broke into a Marthasville home and stole a safe and hundreds of dollars worth of tools.The burglary was reported Feb. 28 at a home on the 900 block of North Ridge Drive.Ryan Miller, 32, Valley Park, was arrested April 24 and charged with second-degree burglary and stealing items valued at $750 or more. He is being held at the Warren County Jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond.Miller allegedly entered the residence by throwing a rock through the basement door window while no one was home. At the time of the burglary, authorities said a white Chevrolet passenger car with damaged sides was seen at the residence. A man reportedly left the home with several items and drove away.The homeowner told investigators he was missing a small safe, a suitcase, at least five power tools and other miscellaneous tools.Deputies didn’t have to go far to find their suspect. A vehicle with matching description was located on the same street, at a residence on the 800 block of North Ridge Drive.Several people at the residence identified Miller as the driver of the vehicle, according to authorities. They consented to a search of the residence, during which the stolen safe was located in the garage.The homeowner estimated the value of the stolen items to be about $890. He estimated the cost to replace the basement door would be almost $700.
