A Warren County Sheriff’s Department sexual assault investigation that began in August of 2015 has resulted in charges against a Warren County man.The investigation began when a 15-year-old teenager reported she had been assaulted the summer before she entered sixth grade.According to an investigation conducted by Lt. Scott Schoenfeld, Tyson Gieson, 38 of Warren County, faces a charge of statutory sodomy in connection with an assault that allegedly took place between April and September of 2012.The victim told Schoenfeld she awoke to find Gieson touching her inappropriately. The alleged incident took place at a home in Schwerdt Hill.According to state law, the offense of statutory sodomy in the first degree or an attempt to commit statutory sodomy in the first degree is a felony which carries a possible sentence of from five years to life in prison.If convicted, Gieson would have to register as a sex offender upon his release.Charged
