A Wright City man faces a domestic assault charge for an alleged violent incident at a home on Fir Tree Lane.Nicholas A. Kolb, 28, is charged with second-degree domestic assault for allegedly choking a woman during a fight Nov. 22, 2017.Police were called to the home at 8:41 p.m. after the victim called 911. She told police she tried to prevent Kolb from entering the residence because of an argument, but he forced open the door, according to Wright City police.The victim alleged that Kolb grabbed her throat and pushed her face down on the couch. She also told police she recently had surgery and had fresh stitches, which she said Kolb was aware she had.The charge against Kolb is a Class D felony. The warrant for his arrest includes a $10,000 bond with a special condition that he have no contact with the victim.Domestic assault
